What Exercise Best Suits Your Human Design Body Type?

Updated: May 18

Exercise has become a vital part of our everyday lives. With plenty of new health conditions bombarding us every day, getting at least 30 minutes of exercise per day can be a lifesaver in the long run.

Most people don't know how to exercise their bodies in the first place and try to follow suggestions from others based on their workout practices. Some might start by working out with a gym trainer or getting a personal coach at home to become healthy through training.

But have you ever wondered what type of exercise will suit your body? Have you sat down with a paper and pen and analyzed how your energy works in your body?

How Does Exercise Differ For Energy and Non-Energy Types?

Energy comes from the sacral chakra of your body, which governs your stomach and the intestines. When you consume food through the throat, it enters your stomach, gets digested, and converted into energy that transfers throughout your body.

It is important to understand how you feel after consuming food after every meal. There can be glucose spikes in your body when you eat a sumptuous meal for lunch or breakfast. Make sure you understand the pattern and notice whether you can work out on an empty stomach before breakfast or later in the evenings after your lunch.

Moreover, if you are into human design and understand that you are an energy type like a generator or manifesting generator, then exercise can be more physical, like jogging, walking, running cardio, weight lifts, or muscle training. All these need a lot of energy, and your sacral chakra can provide this for improving your exercise routine.

But, if you are a non-energy type like a projector or reflector, exercising can be more on the mental level than on the physical body. Because you are non-sacral beings, the sacral chakra needs to relax and rest more to process the food in your body.

Types of Exercise According to Your Human Design

Exercise that can work out perfectly for your body will depend upon your unique body functions and the ability to exercise your muscles and body parts. It can also depend on whether you have a defined or undefined sacral chakra.

Most generic exercises like cardio, weight loss training, or walking 10k steps per day may not be the right practice according to your human design. Here's a simple way to understand your exact human design type and choose the best exercise practices in your day-to-day life.

Generators and Manifesting Generators: Defined Sacral Chakra

Having a defined sacral chakra is a blessing because you can tap into the consistent energy for various activities in your life. Exercise can be a part of your routine because it can help keep your body in shape as well as mentally strong in the long haul.

Exercise for Generators

  • Generators have a long-lasting battery that keeps them energetic throughout the day.

  • Pure generators need high stamina and energy for doing exercises and sleeping peacefully. They can stick to routines better than other energy types.

  • It is best to get involved in exercises that truly spark your joy and pleasure, like HIIT, brisk walking, cardio, or weight training.

Exercise for Manifesting Generators

  • Manifesting generators have the ability to try different things and multitask, which gives them a lot of areas to burn their energy.

  • They can get involved in a lot of sports activities like badminton, tennis, cricket, basketball, or volleyball regularly to keep themselves mentally and physically active.

  • It is also important for manifesting generators to try out new things every week and keep them occupied with different activities. This can make them physically enjoy doing exercises by making them more fun and interesting.

Projectors, Manifestors, and Reflectors: Undefined Sacral Chakra

Non-sacral beings are already low on energy, with only 35% of their batteries available throughout the day. But, it can be best for projectors, manifestos, and reflectors to at least exercise for 30–45 minutes every day.

Exercise for Projectors

  • Self-projecting projectors, splenic projectors, and even emotional projectors with defined motor centers like the spleen, root, or solar plexus may have the energy to exercise every day. It is best for mental projectors with no defined motor centers to not strain their body too much. They can indulge in physical activity at least three times a week.

  • They can enjoy nature by walking, swimming, breathwork, yoga, pilates, and meditation. If you are a gym person, you can also join classes with other energetic types to attract more sacral energy.

  • Projectors should not overdo any type of exercise for a prolonged period of time and strain their bodies. Projectors are always physically energized when they rest more and do minimal exercises.

Exercise for Manifestors

  • Manifestors have inconsistent energy, which makes them highly active during a certain period and burn out on other days.

  • They can be flexible in their exercise routines by working out when they feel happy and energetic, completely resting, and not straining their body when they feel low.

  • It is best for manifestos to hit the gym when they are super energetic and try out a few different workouts, or take nature walks and do breathwork on days they feel less active.

Exercise for Reflectors

  • Reflectors are energy-sensitive, which makes them more aware of their body and environment. They can try joining yoga, zumba, or fitness classes where they can come in contact with others and feel motivated to be physically active.

  • It is important to be inconsistent in exercise routines because they are not always ready to be active. If they feel bad about a particular environment, they can change it and explore new territories.

  • Being still can benefit reflectors a lot. Sitting in a calm atmosphere with their thoughts, doing breathwork, or chanting mantras to calm their mind are also great ways to be healthy.

Conclusion

Incorporating an exercise routine into your life is crucial for long-term health and wellness. But if you're doing exercises contrary to your body design, it can give you problems. It can make you despise exercise or working out regularly. Long periods of exercise without considering your physical and mental state can also get you into trouble.

Choose physical activity according to your body type to change your mental and physical health. Human design is a valuable tool to discover your bodily functions and live by design to enrich your health in the long run.
